Short Biography

Dr. Kumar is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University. His research focuses on the development of therapeutics for central nervous system injuries and related secondary consequences with special emphasis on the interactions between the central and peripheral nervous system post-trauma. He holds a Ph.D. degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India, and joined Rutgers for his postdoctoral training in the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, later he was promoted to Research Associate at Biomedical Engineering.
